On The Move

Madelyn is officially on the move. She has been crawling for some time, but now she is crawling with speed.  She can get from one side of a room to another quickly  If she wants something that Brynn has, or if she sees food she will do everything in her power to get to the other side of the room. Madelyn still loves food, and will eat anything we put in front of her. Along with crawling, Madelyn continues to be able to pull herself up and is walking with a walker and between furniture. It is only a matter of time before she will be able to walk.  Along with being able to crawl, and walk with assistance Madelyn loves to say and wave Bye, Bye, and pull her arms up for so so Big!! She has learned how to give us kisses with her mouth wide open. Those truly are the best kisses a mom could ever get!!

Learning New Things. ..

Brynn and Madelyn continue to meet milestones each week. Brynn continue to be very inquisitive, and wants to learn how to read. She is good with word families. -at, am, -og-, etc. Once she gets the vowel pattern can work with the word.  Brynn also loves numbers, so this week she started to with simple adding and subtracting patterns. Suprisingly she did very well, and as long as there were pictures to represent the numbers she could add and subtract.
Madelyn is also learning many new things!! She is mastering her crawling, which B never did. She can pull up and loves to travel across the couch or from item to item. We also have seen her begin to walk behind a walker. She gets up, and cruises until she hits the wall. Then we have to help her turn around and start all over again!! She loves to walk to any of us, ecspecially Brynn.

Pinedale Spring Concert

As a parent, it makes you so proud to watch your child praise their Lord Jesus openly and willingly.  It is not uncommon for her to sing out various worship songs in the car.  Every Wednesday night, Brynn goes to Pinedale Church with her friend Molly.  While there, they take part in a children's choir, which performs several times per year for the congregation.  Brynn first did this in the fall for the Christmas production.  Today was the Spring/Easter production, in which preschool aged children stood on stage and performed two songs for various family members, friends, and members of the congregation.  It was great to see them sing along, perform the movements, and smile and wave as they periodically saw their loved ones in the crowd.  Needless to say, Jenni and I are very proud of Brynn and her eagerness to worship her Saviour.

BOWLING. .

Last weekend I ran in a 5K, and at the end of the 5K race there were door prizes.  I ran the race with a group of other Teachers from around the state.  One of my friends won Two Free Bowls at a Bowling Alley in Kernersville.  Since she did not live near, and we did she passed them onto us. So, we asked Brynn if she wanted to bowl, and she readily agreed.  We then asked her if she knew what bowling was, and she said NO!! Brynn's friend Scott was going to spend the night, and so we all went together.  The Bowling Alley was well equiped for kids, with 6lb balls, bumpers, and a ramp to help roll the balls.  Her score for her first game was 64 pts. and she was proud!
